23000 Amarnath pilgrims moved out of valley

In the wake of recent violent protest in the Kashmir valley, 23,000 stranded pilgrims at the Amarnath Yatra base camps have been safely moved out of the valley to Jammu where they will safely return to their homes. More than 15,000 pilgrims were still stranded in Jammu for third day on Monday after the clashes took place on Friday.

The state capital Srinagar is under curfew as well as all 10 districts of Kashmir valley after violent protests against the death of Hizbul Mujahedeen terrorist Burhan Wani who was killed in an intelligence-led police operation on Friday.  The Amarnath Yatra remains suspended for the time being as the curfew is imposed in the region.
