Amarnath Yatra is an annual pilgrimage that takes place every year to the revered Amarnath cave in the Jammu and Kashmir, India. As this place is located in a cricital zone with extreme climatic conditions, registration is compulsory to visit Amarnath Dham. There are over 400 Bank branches which is approved for Registration for pilgrims.

Amarnath Yatra Registration for 2017 will start from 01 March, 2017

In comparison to previous year, when the duration of the pilgrimage was 59 days, this time the duration of Amarnath Yatra has been reduced to 40 days only, from 29 June to 07 August, 2017.
Please note that Amarnath Yatra 2017 registration and issuance of Yatra Permits (YP) will be done on the “First Come, First Serve” basis.

There is NO online registration for the Amarnath Yatra.

For 2017 Amarnath Yatra, the offline registration is done at 433 designated branches of J&K Bank, Yes Bank, and Punjab National Banks.

Documents Required For Amarnath Registration

For Issuance of Yatra Permit (YP), you have to submit these Documents:
1) 4 Passport size Photographs
2) Duly filled in Yatra Registration form, which can be downloaded by visiting this link: Click here
3) Compulsory Health Certificate from authorized doctor, obtained after 10th Feb, 2016. The format of Compulsory Health Certificate can be download at above given link.

How to Register for Amarnath Yatra 2017?

1) Download the Amarnath Yatra Registration form and Compulsory Health Certificate. Take the printouts of both forms and duly fill them.
2) To know the location of Authorized Doctor to issue the Health Certificate, you can check the list from the website of SASB at: Click here
3) To Know the Location of the Nearest Yatra Registration Counter, visit the link
4) Once you obtain the Compulsory Health Certificate, deposit your duly filled registration form, with self-signed passport photograph pasted on it in the nearest authorized bank for Amarnath Yatra registration.
5) Registration Fee: Along with the form, you have to pay Rs 50/- as the registration charges for the Yatra.
6) Once your form is accepted and everything is in order (i.e. your registration form and Compulsory Health Certificate), then you will be issued Yatra Permit (YP) for undertaking the 2017 Amarnath Yatra.
7) The Yatris will be given Colorful Permit Cards as coded for different days of the Amarnath Yatra and for different routes.

Please note without the Yatra Permit (YP), pilgrims will not be allowed to partake in Amarnath Yatra.
Pilgrims intending to perform Amarnath Yatra by Helicopter, need not to do any Registration, But they will have to obtain the Compulsory Health Certificate.
It is high advisable that if you have high blood pressure, asthma or heart disease, you should not partake in the Amarnath pilgrimage.
