Srinagar: The beautiful summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir located in the Kashmir valley, Srinagar is famous for its canals, houseboats, Mughal gardens and the enchanting Dal Lake. Flocked with tourists, Srinagar is the place where one can find traditional Kashmiri handicrafts and dry fruits. Some famous tourist sports in and around Srinagar are Shalimar Bagh, Kheer Bhawani temple, Nishant Bagh and Chasma Shahi.

Sheshnag Lake: The Sheshnag Lake is another popular attraction during the Amarnath pilgrimage. It lies 27 km away from Pahalgam. According to the popular myths, Sheshnag Lake is the place where Lord Shiva left his snakes while travelling towards Amarnath Cave to recite the Amar Katha to Maa Parvati. This lake is situated at a height of approximately 3,658 m above sea level due to which it remains covered in ice till June.   

Pahalgam: Situated in the beautiful Kashmir valley, Pahalgam is a picturesque hill station and a major resort town surrounded by surrounded by alpine peaks, the Lidder and Seshnag rivers. It is also the starting point for the Amarnath pilgrimage. Sprawling 4km around the river junction, Pahalgam offers golf, rafting, trekking and various adventure activities.

Sonmarg: Surrounded by the towering snow-clad peaks, Sonmarg is a hill station located in the gorgeous alpine valley of Kashmir. It’s also a staging point for pilgrims en route to Amarnath’s holy ice lingam via Baltal Camp. Nearby attractions include the breathtaking Zozi La pass. From Sonmarg, trekking routes lead to the Himalayan lakes of Vishansar Lake, Krishansar Lake, Gangabal Lake and Gadsar Lake.

Patni Top: One of the beautiful hill stations in the Jammu region, Patni Top is famous for its picturesque surroundings and activities like skiing, trekking as well as water springs make it a popular tourist destination. Sanasar, located 17 kms from Patni Top, is also popular for paragliding base, golf courses along with extended sightseeing options.

Gulmarg: Heartland of winter sports in India, Gulmarg is India’s premier ski resort destination situated in the Pir Pinjal mountain range in Jammu and Kashmir. Depending on the season, nature’s colors could be the translucent green of spring, summer’s rich emerald, or autumn’s golden hues. It also has the highest green golf course in the world and winter sports like skiing, tobogganing, snowboarding and heli-skiing take place at Gulmarg.
